Construction and contracting works are carried out by UKAŞ İnşaat Anonim Şirketi under the UKAŞ roof. The supply chain built in the group's iron and steel trade meets the needs of the site within a single structure.
Approach
Construction and contracting activities are carried out by UKAŞ İnşaat Anonim Şirketi, a separate legal entity established for this line of work. The company is structured as a natural extension of the group's existing trading infrastructure.
The starting point is straightforward: material supply is one of the most critical variables determining cost and schedule in construction work. A group that already conducts iron and steel trade can turn supply from a service bought externally into a link in its own chain.
Scope of services
The framework defined in the articles of association covers the following headings.
Building works
Construction of residential, commercial and industrial buildings; reinforced concrete and steel structure applications.
Contracting
Turnkey contracting as main contractor on public and private sector projects; subcontractor coordination and work programme management.
Subcontracting
Undertaking defined work packages for main contractors; package-based work in steel fabrication and erection, structural works and production items.
Steel structures
Industrial buildings and long-span steel systems; integrated execution from section supply through erection.
Renovation and strengthening
Renewal, conversion and structural strengthening works on existing buildings.
Integration with trade
The group's trading arm conducts domestic and international trade in iron and steel products for the construction and manufacturing industries, with sourcing, logistics and after-sales managed as a single chain.
The works of UKAŞ İnşaat are built on top of that chain. Because the party supplying the material and the party undertaking the work sit under the same roof, the classic friction points of supply delays, price volatility and diffused responsibility are reduced.
The group's engineering team on the software side builds the digital infrastructure for work programming, cost tracking and reporting.
Contracting entity
The counterparty for construction and contracting works is UKAŞ İnşaat Anonim Şirketi. Contracts, tenders and undertakings are entered into in the name of that legal entity. The group's other activities — software, iron and steel trade and the Institute for Community Studies — are carried out within Uçar ve Kaya Teknoloji Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi.
